FOR the second-year-in-a row, Clare will play Cork in the semi-final of the National Senior Camogie League. The game is scheduled for Saturday, April 26.
Clare sealed their place in the semi-final with this comfortable win over Limerick at Clonlara on Wednesday. This was the second game in a three-way play-off between Clare, Limerick and Galway, whom Clare beat last week in Corofin.
Clare took control from the outset and a first half goal from Ellen Horgan helped Clare to a half-time lead of six points, 1-4 to 0-1.
Orlaith Duggan raced through early in the second half for the winner’s second goal, which had Clare in the driving seat and well on the way to the semi-final, long before the final whistle sounded.
Scorers for Clare were Nikki Kaiser (0-4), Laura McMahon (0-3), Orlaith Duggan and Ellen Horgan (1-0) each; Chloe Morey (0-2), Kate Lynch and Caitriona Hennessy (0-1) each.
