Ennis event in solidarity with Wikileaks founder

CAMPAIGNERS supporting imprisoned Wikileaks founder Julian Assange will hold a ‘solidarity stall’ in O’Connell Square, Ennis this Saturday from 11.30am.

This is part of an Irish Day of Solidarity with Assange, which will see a whole series of activities from Derry to Kerry in support of the imprisoned Australian journalist and publisher.

It is organised by Free Assange Ireland in co-operation with other campaign groups and organisations for peace and justice.

More than 20 events are being held ahead of Assange’s extradition proceedings which are set to continue in London’s High Court from October 27/28.

Assange is currently in isolation at Belmarsh High Security Prison in London.
