THE distribution of All Ireland tickets has been paused due to a technical issue this afternoon.
Tickets were on sale via Ticketmaster from 1pm today, with members of clubs who were successful applicants having been sent codes earlier in the week.
However things went wrong quite quickly and shortly after 2pm Newmarket on Fergus GAA posted a message on social media explaining the situation. “Issues with Codes have presented during today’s sale. If your code allocation is not working as expected then please hold off from purchasing. Active Codes are being temporarily suspended as it is being investigated by the GAA. An update will be posted soonest once we can update from the county board.”
Sixmilebridge GAA also posted a message. “There are issues with links/codes, people who were in early at 1pm seem to have managed to buy tickets, problems started a few minutes later. Croke Park are working on the issue with Ticket Master – all tickets/links have been taken completely offline until the problem is fixed. Will update here when we get news.”
There have been a number of complaints from Clare supporters about Ticketmaster since the GAA began using it for the distribution of tickets, but today’s issue will have particularly annoyed punters who made the effort to go online soon after ticket sales opened.
