Feakle are on a ground-breaking mission this Sunday when traveling to Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh for a Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship Semi-Final showdown with Sarsfields (3.15pm).
Following the unbridled elation of a first Clare Senior crown in 36 years and only the club’s second in 80 years, the three week gap has allowed the East Clare side to celebrate and recalibrate sufficiently for what is an exciting next step of their 2024 journey,
Feakle have contested a Munster Senior Semi-Final before when Val Donnellan (father of current captain Oisin and Fiachra) led the 1988 side into Walsh Park to take on Mount Sion. It would prove an ill-fated afternoon as they were agonisingly edged out by the minimum (1-8 to 1-7), having already seen off Kerry’s Ballyduff in their provincial bow.
