HSE Hosts More Weekend Walk-In Vaccination Clinics

  UNVACCINATED Clare people can get a Covid-19 vaccine in another series of scheduled walk-in vaccination clinis in the Mid-West over the coming days.   Clinics for Pfizer/BioNtech Dose 1 and 2, and second doses only of Moderna, have been scheduled across the centres this weekend. They the Abbey Court, Nenagh from 3 to 6pm on Friday, September for Moderna Dose 2 and the Limerick Racecourse from 4 to 7pm. Pfizer Dose 1 and 2 is available in the Limerick Racecourse from 4 to 7pm; and Treacy’s West County, Ennis from 4 to 7pm.. Vaccination the ‘start of a bright summer and an autumn of hope’

PATIENTS who were cocooning for more than a year have been given a new “lease of life” after receiving a vaccine against Covid-19. That’s according to Patricia O’Gorman, who was redeployed to be the clinical lead for the Mid-West Vaccination Centres at Treacy’s West County, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Meelick, and the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, since March 1. The Ennis Hospital director of nursing has seen some patients cheering after they are vaccinated and has witnessed a sense of joy in their overall demeanour. “Vaccination is the start of a bright summer and an autumn of hope, particularly for people who want to go back to work, the businesses that didn’t get to work for the last year and people who want to see their grandparents, brothers and sisters.” She hopes the three centres will be able to reach peak capacity of delivering 6,000 vaccines in total by late May or early June. UL Hospitals Group confirm cancellation of Covid-19 vaccinations at Radisson Blu Hotel for Wednesday

THE UL Hospitals Group have tonight confirmed that following the updated National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) guidance issued on Monday evening, April 12, the Covid-19 vaccination clinic scheduled for the Radisson Blu Hotel on Wednesday, April 14, has now been cancelled. The group have apologised for any inconvenience and said the approximately 600 people affected are being contacted directly. In a statement received this evening, the group said, “Patients will be offered an alternative appointment as soon as possible. Approximately 1,200 people from Group 4 have had their appointments cancelled this Tuesday and Wednesday and, of these, we have identified just over 400 who are in the 60 to 69 age bracket. “This group of patients are now being offered a vaccination appointment this Thursday, April 15, at the Radisson Blu Hotel. This is in line with the updated guidance from NIAC. We encourage this group of patients to respond to the text notification and to attend for their appointment …

Radisson Blu AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccination Appointments Deferred

THE HSE has this evening written to Hospital Groups and Community Healthcare Organisations to advise that all AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccination Clinics planned for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 13, should be cancelled in light of updated guidance received from the National Immunisation Advisory Committee, and the Department of Health, this evening. This means all vaccinations scheduled for the Radisson Blu Hotel tomorrow are deferred and a further update will be issued. Those scheduled for vaccination tomorrow are being contacted directly to rearrange their appointment. Anybody due to attend an AstraZeneca clinic is advised not to do so. Following full consideration of the updated guidance, the HSE will advise further in terms of wider implications for the administration of the vaccination programme.
