Clare 250 memorial candle lighting

THE festive season is a time for joy and celebration in the company of those closest to us. It is also a time when we keep in our thoughts, those who may be ill or who are no longer with us. For the past 11 years during the Christmas period, the entrance to the Clare 250 Cancer Centre in Ballygriffey, on the outskirts of Ennis, has been lit up by 150 night lights, each one a kind prayer for a loved one.

This year, we invite you to include someone you wish to have remembered for Twelve Days of Christmas. Weather permitting, the candles will be lit from 6pm to 9pm from December 25 to January 5. The name and the area where those who are to be remembered are from will be displayed on the plinth in front of the statue of Our Lady each night.
