Last evening, Shane, a former minor hurler with his native Tipperary with whom he played in the Munster and All-Ireland championship, visited the Cragg when he met members of the local club’s schoolboys’ teams aged six to 16.
Shane was welcomed by club chairman, Michael Hoey and he spent some time signing autographs and chatting with the locals.
Some time back, he gave his Ireland v Brazil jersey to the Tulla club and he also presented them with a signed Reading jersey, both of which are proudly displayed by the club.
