Margaret captures a perfect second

SHANNON woman Margaret Long has come second in MyHome.ie’s “live rent free for a year” competition.

Margaret’s photo earned her second place in the competition. She was one of 1,500 entrants nationwide who submitted a humorous photo on the theme of making yourself at home. The top 50 photos were uploaded onto MyHome.ie’s facebook page, where the outcome was decided by a public vote.
The photo won Margaret a shopping spree at Littlewoods Ireland. Third prize in the competition went to former Clare FM broadcaster Ross O’Donoghue.
Angela Keegan of MyHome.ie acknowledged all those who entered as well as those who cast votes.
“This really was great fun. From dogs of all shapes and sizes to babies in fridges to homeless jelly babies, from guys in baby clothes to ladies clothes, to not a lot of clothes. Not forgetting my personal favourite of the woman who was duct taped to the wall. All human-and indeed dog-life as we know it and some that we didn’t know is there. Everyone at MyHome.ie thoroughly enjoyed seeing how people chilled out at home.”
Margaret said she was grateful to everyone who voted for her entry.
“I want to thank everyone that voted for my picture as I couldn’t have got second place without their help. It was a tough competition and a lot of campaigning online and offline in Ireland, England, Canada Australia and America went on in the run up to the closing date, so a big thank you to all my family that helped me along the way.
The photos are available to view at www.facebook.com/MyHome.ie.
