Take your seat at Glór this November

GLÓR is one of a number of venues around the country taking part in Take Your Seat week, which is running from November 9 to 14, with discounted tickets and promotions on offer.

On booking a ticket for a show at one of the participating venues on www.takeyourseat.ie, consumers will be offered a range of promotions and incentives to come back and see another show at a later date at the venue.
“Take Your Seat is something theatres and venues across the country have been talking about for years – a national campaign promoting the fantastic range of live performances happening in venues all around Ireland,” said Patricia Callaly of Glór.
“Our own programme for the week includes a fantastic theatre show-Days of wine & Roses as well as Mozaik and Steve Earle. We hope that as a result coming to Glór will become an even more regular habit,” she added.
The programme has united more than 30 venues around the country and their representatives have agreed to collaborate for the long term to encourage existing customers to come back more often and to tempt more newcomers through the door, despite the recession.
Pat Moylan of the Arts Council agreed that the initiative is worthwhile. “An initiative like Take Your Seat sends a clear signal that Ireland is a highly creative and competitive place and it will benefit performers, artists, venues and the public alike.”
