Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 7:10pm on Saturday 4th November 2023 on the N67 at Moyasta between Kilrush and Kilkee in County Clare. The pedestrian, a woman in her late 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has since been removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem examination will be conducted. No other injuries to persons was reported. A portion of the N67 at Moyasta is currently closed with local diversions in place. The services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N67 in the Moyasta area between 7pm and 7:30pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí. Gardaí are investigating a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred in the Cratloekeel area of Cratloe at approximately 2:55am this morning. (March 17) An 18 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The scene has been preserved for a technical examination. A MAN has died following a two car collision at Ballybeg on the outskirts of Ennis on Monday afternoon. A driver and passenger were also hospitalised following the incident. The collision occurred at Edenvale on the main Ennis to Kilrush Road. A section of the road was closed off following the collision and traffic diversions were in place. The road has since reopened.

GARDAI in Kilrush are investigating a serious road traffic accident, which happened this morning, about six miles from Ennis. The collision occurred at approximately 9am at Caherea, Ennis. The car hit a tree, the male drive, who was the sole occupant, was injured and taken to Limerick University Hospital, where his injuries are described as serious. Gardaí have one lane closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and have a traffic management system in place allowing for traffic movement. CRUSHEEN teenager Delia Keary has become the fourth Clare person to die as a result of road traffic accidents in recent days. The 18 year old had been a passenger in a car which collided with a truck at Wards Cross near Abbeyfeale on Friday evening. 19 year old Gary Kelly from Ennis died at the scene while Delia was taken to University Hospital, Limerick for treatment. A motorist was taken to hospital late on Monday night following a single vehicle accident on the Miltown Malbay to Lahinch road. The man was taken to University of Limerick hospital where he is being treated. The N67 road was closed and a Garda investigation into the accident is continuing. Motorists travelling from Miltown Malbay have been diverted to the L2124, while motorists travelling from Lahinch are diverted to the L6236.
