Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry to represent Clare

The Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games variety competition was held in Sixmilebridge GAA hall last week.

Only two teams took part but competition was very keen, with Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry coming out on top and they will now represent Clare in Munster in July. The judges on the night were Ann Hayes, Lissycasey; Bridget Kelly, Limerick; Paula McMahon, O’Callaghan’s Mills and timekeeper Agnes O’Dowd Limerick.
The members of the winning Sixmilebridge-Kilmurry group are James Connor, Áine Freeman, Aoife Corbett, Caroline Hogan, Fiona Murphy, Níamh O’Dea, Aisling Hassett, Gerard O’Dea, Rachel Scanlon, Marie Ryan, Claire Corbett, Kelly Finnegan, Colette Donnellan and Sheilagh Larkin.
The runners-up were Cratloe, whose team included Amanda Gleeson, Liam Kelly, Alan Brennan, James Lynch, Jack Scanlon, Jamie Lane, Anna Lucey, Siobhán Kelly, Christopher Young, Laura Chaplin, Orla Shiel, Lauren Coghlan, Rebecca Gleeson and Fiona O’Connell.

Soccer
The outdoor soccer competitions were held last week in St Flannan’s College and the co-ordinator was Flan Brennan.

The camogie finals were held in brilliant sunshine at St Flannan’s College. It was coordinated by Mary Lenihan and two of Clare’s young referees who are also members of the Clare senior panel, Aisling Hannon from Clooney and Áine McNamara, from Sixmilebridge.
