Shannon protest planned for September

THE Save Our Shannon Airport group have said they plan a rally in Ennis on Saturday, September 5 at O’Connell Square.

In a statement this week it called for a new board for Shannon. “The Shannon Group operations at Shannon are mismanaged.

Shannon requires a new board who can reform the whole operation. Now is the time for the group to negotiate a new future and reform with the Government and the EU as the world is in the Covid 19 crisis.

“Furthermore if the Irish Government gives further aid to Aer Lingus it should be on condition the airline resume full service to and from Shannon and Cork.”
