Clare looking for reversal of fortune against Dublin

Clare’s senior camogie side will travel to Dublin to face the girls from the capital in first round of the Senior All-Ireland Championship this Saturday. The game will be played at the Naomh Perigrine Grounds in Blakestown at 2.30pm.

The sides met in the second round of the league earlier this year when Clare suffered a one-point defeat.
Siobhán Lafferty will be a big loss to the Banner girls heading into this tie. Not only will that leave a gap to be filled at full-back but Siobhán is also the captain for this year. There is no doubt though that she will continue to lead from the sideline.
There are changes to the panel from the league and Munster campaigns. Shónagh Enright and Carol Kaiser are in America for the summer and are unavailable. However, Claire McMahon (Kilmaley), Helen Guinane (Truagh/Clonlara) and Claire Ryan (Clooney) have been drafted in to the panel. Aiveen O’Shea suffered an injury in a recent challenge game and is a doubt for the Dublin game. Others to miss out on recent challenge games were Sarah Sherlock and Kate Lynch.
Manager Patsy Fahy and his selectors will select from the following panel: Susan Vaughan (Ogonnelloe); Sarah Sherlock (Truagh/Clonlara); Aisling Hannon (Clooney-Quin); Siobhán Lafferty (Kilnamona) (captain); Eimear Considine (Kilmaley); Kate Lynch (Kilkishen); Aiveen O’Shea (Sixmilebridge); Fiona Lafferty (Kilnamona); Kelly MacLean (Clooney-Quin); Róisín McMahon (Newmarket-on-Fergus); Sharon McMahon (Newmarket-on-Fergus); Deirdre Murphy (Clooney-Quin); Mairéad Scanlon (Scariff); Danielle Sheedy (Broadford); Norah Murphy (Kilkishen); Aine McNamara (Sixmilebridge), Anne-Marie McMahon (Crusheen); Ruth Kaiser (Newmarket-on-Fergus); Naomi Carroll (Sixmilebridge); Áine O’Brien (Newmarket-on-Fergus); Áine O’Brien (Scariff); Sinéad Donovan (Wolfe Tones); Claire McMahon (Kilmaley); Helen Guinane (Truagh-Clonlara); Claire Ryan (Clooney-Quin).
