Breen gives directions to the White House

CLARE TD Pat Breen may be better associated with Dáil Éireann, but this week he lent his political experience to a group of Ennis students on their way to Washington.Pupils from St Flannan’s College recently came second in their category at the elite NASA/Ames annual space settlement design competition. As part of their win, Caitlyn Horgan, Mike O’Dea, Peter O’Connell Stack and Natalia Abramczyk will travel to the International Space Development Conference in Washington DC later this month.Teacher Michael Horgan said the students hope to visit the White House during their trip and they were thrilled to welcome Deputy Breen to the school this week.“As an ex-pupil of St Flannan’s it was great to have Deputy Breen come in to speak to the students.
