Budding actors wanted

DRUID is looking for five young people to join 14 professional actors on stage for its production of Seán O’Casey’s The Silver Tassie in Glór in August.
Five young people will join the cast for its production at Glór and for two of the performances during the Galway run at the Town Hall Theatre.
Open auditions will be held in Glór on Saturday, July 17 at 1pm. Registration will take place on the day and those attending will be given the lyrics of a song to sing and will be accompanied on keyboard by Elliot Davis (composer and musical director on the show).
Participants must be aged 16 or 17 during the months of August and September, have an ability to sing and be able to follow direction. For those chosen for the cast, rehearsals take place at Glór on Friday, August 27, to Wednesday, September 1.
The performance dates are September 1 and 2 at the Town Hall Theatre in Galway and September 9-11 at Glór.
