KILRUSH’S Emma Malone won the Young Riders Class at the RDS Dublin Horse Show last weekend. Emma also placed 13th in the final.
The show proved to be a huge success again this year and other local riders also performed well.
Newmarket-on-Fergus’ Annie Twomey won the Show Hunter pony class. Robbie Clancy, Sixmilebridge, was the winner and fifth in the 138cm class and placed seventh and 11th in the final. Conor McMahon, Cratloe, was placed seventh and eighth in the 138 class and sixth in the final.
Quin’s Siobhán McCarthy was placed eighth in the Young Rider Class and ninth in the final, while Ciara Daffy, Ruan, was placed 13th in the Amateur Class.
Kate Costello from Newmarket-on-Fergus was placed 12th and 15th in the Young Rider Classes, while Philip McGuane, Ruan, was placed fourth and third in the Young Rider Classes.
Katie Marks, Cratloe, was placed fourth in the Working Hunter Class, while Quin’s Alyssa O’Neill was placed third in the Working Hunter pony class.
