Ten-man Tulla succumb to Lifford A

Tulla United A   1   Lifford A   4
Ten-man Tulla went down at home to Lifford A, despite giving the winners some anxious moments.

Lifford had an ideal start with an early goal from Joe Lynch and they held the one goal advantage at half-time. Shortly before the break, Tulla’s Colm Mullen got his marching orders after picking up a second yellow card.
PJ Assimo doubled his side’s lead with a fantastic strike, although he picked up a yellow card following his celebration that involved removing his shirt and a spectacular somersault of a type more likely to be seen in La Liga than the Clare League.
Tulla hit back through Seosamh O’Loughlin and threatened an equaliser but when Lunga Balman had his side’s third, it was clear where the points were going. Balman was on target again before the end, completing the scoring.
