Service station near Killaloe sold €30.9m EuroMillions ticket

A family-run service station located about three kilometres from Killaloe bridge has sold a EuroMillions ticket worth an astonishing €30,928,078. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on Sunday, February 6 at Larkin’s Gala Service Station, Garryurtneal, Ballina, Killaloe. The Mid-West player has officially become the 17th EuroMillions jackpot winner ever seen in Ireland following the draw on Friday night. Siobhan Larkin, who owns the business with her husband Michael on the Ballina to Birdhill road, spoke of the complete shock and joy she felt on receiving the news over the weekend. “When our visitors from the National Lottery arrived here on Sunday evening, I was totally overwhelmed and in quite a state of shock. “I couldn’t believe that it was our store that sold the winning ticket worth €30.9 million. Half a million win for Clare lottery player

ANYONE who picked up a EuroMillions ticket at Paper Chase in Ennis is being urged to check their numbers as they could be half a million euro richer. The National Lottery has confirmed the winning location for Tuesday night’s €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize win. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on December 29 at Paper Chase in Ennis town centre. The all-important winning numbers are: 01, 02, 06, 09 and 19. Paper Chase newsagents first opened its doors in Ennis in 1992 and owner, Sharon Casey started her career as a shop assistant when the store first opened before becoming manager and finally taking over the business in 2008. A CLARE couple, who won over €1 million in the EuroMillions last month, plan to use their winnings to go on an exotic holiday and help a local charity. The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, bought their winning ticket in The Spar shop on the Limerick Road in Ennis, opposite St Flannan’s College, on Tuesday, February 23. They scooped a €1,026,063 prize with a €6 Quick Pick ticket in the EuroMillions, with the numbers: 23, 25, 32, 37, 42 and star number 1. Collecting their prize from the National Lottery headquarters on Thursday, the lucky couple said they made a bucket list together a few years ago and are now looking forward to ticking off a few things, including an exotic holiday.
