Swedish royal couple to visit North Clare

THE King and Queen of Sweden are to visit North Clare next Friday (May 25) as part of their State visit at the invitation of President Michael D Higgins.

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia will visit Ireland from Wednesday to Friday before returning to Sweden from Shannon Airport. Alongside official talks during the Dublin leg of the trip, a number of meetings will be held between Irish businesses and Swedish representative groups.
