Sandy causes disruption at Shannon

HURRICANE Sandy caused disruption to millions of people and its tentacles reached Shannon Airport where passengers were disrupted earlier this week.

On Tuesday, both the inbound and outbound Newark United Airlines flights were cancelled, as was the Aer Lingus JFK inbound flight and both of the British Airways flights to JFK, which stop in Shannon on their way from London, were also cancelled.

The following day both the inbound and outbound Newark flights were also cancelled, as were the British Airways flights.
