The Cork-owned and Seamus Fahy-trained, Tromora Dot (Droopys Scolari-Prestige Aoife) won the feature race in Galway on Thursday night, an A2-graded 525-yard race.
Tromora Dot was sent off the even-money favourite, in trap three, and she and Aulton Leo and Malbay Bawn were prominent from the start but at the halfway stage Tromora Dot poached a lead of one length from Flandys Rose and Malbay Bawn. As they made their way from the back straight, Malbay Bawn challenged for the lead but Tromora Dot was not be overtaken and she raced on to win by close on five lengths with a clock of 29.70 from Flandys Rose, owned by Conor Flanagan, Russa, Ennistymon. Beaten three parts of a length into third place was Aulton Leo, owned by Pat Hogan, Templemaley, Ennis.

The opening race was won in 29.84 by Paddy Kennedy’s Badgerfort Ace, while West Clare owner, Maria Browne won the second race on the card, an A6-graded sprint with Burnpark Cheryl, in trap five. After an even break, Burnpark Cheryl put down the pedal as they approached the opening bend to go three lengths clear. The daughter of Royal Impact-Burnpark Cuckoo remained in front for the rest of the race. Although going slightly wide at the home bend, she had enough in reserve to win by eight lengths in 19.63 froim Bumblebee Cora.
Leading at the first bend, Oranmore Kate was the pacesetter in an A5-A6-graded 575 race and crossed the line over two lengths in front of Manus Snowdrop, trained by Donie Duggan for Siofra McInerney. The time was 32.57.
Bunnow Scatty, owned by Niall Heaney, Ennis, put in a stormer of a finish from the rear of the field but failed to catch the 30.16 and three-and-a-quarter lengths winner, Outback Delboy, in an an A5-graded 525 yards race.
Wood Crash (Crash-Ashcarne Blondie) won an A4-graded 550 yards race for Carl Maguire from near Kilrush and Kilkee-based Adrian Ennis. Leading at the opening bend, Tintreach Wolf extended his lead to three lengths as they turned down the back but at this stage Wood Crash in the outside trap started to make up ground on the wide outside. The lead was brought back between the two last bends and with a great run on the wide outiade, Wood Crash got up near the line to win by half a length in 31.40 from Forthill Juno.
More Clare success came in the following race, an A4-graded 525 won by the Frank Browne-trained Mine Haze, owned by Mary Browne, Quin. Oisins Gent Girl in trap three and Bumblebee Rosie in four shared the lead at the opening bend from Dromoher Snoopy in two and Mine Hazel in five. There was slight bunching turning down the back, where Bumblebee Rose led by three lengths from Mine Hazel (Hades Rocket-Jumerah Jess), who began to narrow the gap as they came towards the third bend. Getting through on the inside over the final two bends, Mine Hazel raced clear to beat Dromoher Snoopy, owned by Megan Flanagan, Russa, Ennistymon, by four lengths in 29.62.
