Ennis goalkeeper puts pen to paper with Limerick FC

TALENTED young goalkeeper Peadar O’Keeffe (right) will be going to help his new club Limerick FC get off to a winning start in the under 17 league of Ireland this weekend.
The Ennis teenager recently signed for Limerick’s under 17 side and will be in contention for playing time in their home tie against St Pats on Saturday.
O’Keeffe was one of the stand out talents in the Banner county and has already shown plenty of potential during his time playing underage club football in Clare and Dublin.
The 17-year-old joined the Ennis Town academy at the age of six and represented Clare at various levels underage.
He played for Clare in the 2018 Kennedy Cup before joining one of the biggest schoolboy teams in Ireland, Cherry Orchard in the Dublin District Soccer League (DDSL).
O’Keeffe spent two and a half years at the Dublin club during which time he gained valuable playing experience against some of the best teams in Ireland and further afield.
O’Keeffe made appearances in the 2019 Super Cup in Northern Ireland as well as the Galway Cup and the 2020 SFAI under 16 cup final.
The 6’1 goalkeeper will be aiming to make his debut for Limerick on Saturday when they take on St Pats at Hogan Park, Limerick, in the latest round of fixtures in group C of the EA Sports under 17 National League of Ireland.
O’Keeffe could be up against a few familiar faces with four former teammates from Cherry Orchard having signed for St Pats.
