Clare motorists alerted over alloy wheels thefts

GARDAI have warned Clare motorists about thefts of alloy wheels following two incidents on the same night in the county last week.

In the early hours of the morning of Thursday, August 5 two separate cars were targeted at different locations in the theft of alloy wheels.

The first occurred when the owner parked up his vehicle overnight outside his house at Cloghaun Holiday Homes, Ballinalacken, Lisdoonvarna.

He woke the following morning to discover the four alloys wheels stolen. The rear window was broken to get the lock nut key in order to remove the wheels.

The second occurred again on the same date on the morning of Thursday, August 5, between 1-3am at Shallee, Kilnamona.

The owner of a car woke to find the four alloy wheels removed from the car outside his house.
