readers are more than familiar with the photographs of award-winning photographer John Kelly.
Recent visitors to AIB in Ennis had a chance to get up close to his work as part of the AIB Photojournalism Exhibition 2011. The exhibition is a collection of some of the most remarkable press photographs from the past year.
A reception at the bank was held by manager Kieran Considine to celebrate the opening of the exhibition.
The awards, open to all members of the Press Photographers Association of Ireland, were announced at a ceremony in Dublin, in February. Clare is well represented in this year’s exhibition with John Kelly’s work being showcased alongside other local photographers Kenneth O’Halloran and Eamon Ward.
Speaking at the opening reception, Kieran Considine said, “We are delighted to be hosting the AIB Photojournalism Exhibition again this year in AIB Ennis and particularly as our own local photographers are so well represented. The travelling exhibition allows us to showcase the amazing level of skill and creativity among Press Photographers in Ireland to a broad audience, through our branch network.”
