A KINVARA boy, who gained countrywide admiration when he wrote, illustrated and published his first book, returns to the national stage this week when he appears on Ear to the Ground.

KILKEE native Fr John Glynn will feature on Lifers, an RTÉ 1 television documentary at 10.15pm on Tuesday. He is one of a number of Irish missionaries who will appear in the production.

ARCHITECTS who proposed a design for an independent footbridge in Quin village are set to meet with council officials to discuss the feasibilty of the project. Lawrence and Long Architects had previously put forward plans for a contemporary steel bridge. However, it was decided by Clare County Council that this would be “inappropriate”. There is already approval and funding in place to develop a new footpath to faciliate pedestrians along the wall of the existing bridge.

A DISTINGUISHED career in the legal profession and judiciary came to an end this week for Ennis man, Honourable Justice Daniel O’Keeffe when he retired from the High Court.
