The new show is described as “a live journey delving into the hilarious abyss that qualifies as life for a couple of girls living on the edge” and it will be at Glór on November 19.Katherine’s father Tom Lynch is a writer and wit and she is a grand-niece of Patrick Kavanagh. She always had a taste for the limelight and in 1998 she won the Alternative Miss Ireland pageant with her portrayal of spoof Country and Western ‘tampon infomercial queen, Miss Tampy Lylette’. After that, she and co-creator Warren Meyler set about developing numerous comedy characters and honed their skills in various residencies around Dublin. In 2007 she made the leap to TV, appearing on RTÉ’s late night comedy The Unbelievable Truth. On the back of this, she was commissioned to make her own comedy pilot Singing Bernie Walsh-Hiace to Heaven and a three-part series followed, which ultimately led to her becoming a household name.
