Capture Ireland in an image

The Green-Graph 2011 photography competition is looking for pictures that show a snapshot of an Irish world.

The contest is part of this year’s St Patrick’s Day Festival, celebrating Irish culture across the world, and is supported by the London Irish Centre.
The winning photographer will receive a cash prize and entries sent before March 13 will be in with a chance to be displayed on a big screen in front of 100,000 people at the St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Trafalgar Square London.
The deadline for entry is midnight on March 17. Photos must be submitted by email and contest rules can be found on The Green-Graph website, www.green-graph.com.
Since the beginning of 2010, an estimate 60,000 Irish people have left families and friends and homes in search of work and a future. The London Irish Centre, which was founded in the 1950s, provides a wide range of welfare services, support and care to Irish emigrants in the UK.
“We hope to raise the profile of Irish Communities globally and all proceeds will go to charity,” said a spokesman for the London Irish Centre.
Email your photo to photos@green-graph.com with a caption, description and contact details.
