LEGENDARY musician Bob Dylan is certain to pack Thomond Park to overflowing when he plays there on July 4, American Independence Day. Tickets go on sale on Monday at the usual outlets.
One of the world’s most enduring musicians, Dylan was awarded a special Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for “his profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power”.
Columbia Records released Bob Dylan’s studio album Together Through Life last April, which received universal critical acclaim. It was produced under the pseudonym Jack Frost, prompted by the composition of a new song, Life Is Hard, which was written for a forthcoming film by French director Oliver Dahan.
Together Through Life, was the 46th release from Bob Dylan, and follows 2006’s platinum album Modern Times, which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and reached the top of the charts in seven additional countries and the Top 5 in 22 countries around the world and spent two weeks at No.1 in Ireland. It also earned him two more Grammy Awards.
