Driving Alert: heavy rain

While a low level yellow weather warning for Clare has been lifted, gardaí are advising people to drive with care as further heavy rain is forecast later in the day (Monday) and into Tuesday.

Clare County Council has stated it will continue to monitor flood prone areas in Clare over the coming months in an effort to reduce the risk to homes and businesses.

Several buildings in West and North Clare were hit by up to eight inches of flood water over the weekend following intensive rain on Friday night. Also diversions were in operations at a number of locations due to flash flooding.
