WEST Clare United kept up their strong challenge for the Third Division title when they comfortably accounted for Tulla United B at Kilrush on Sunday.

Goals came from Jamie Russell and Tony Doherty (two each), Brian Harte and Shane Ryan for the West Clare side, who led 4-1 at half-time. They had two on the board when Tulla got through for their only score through Shane McNamara.
Both sides finished with 10 men.
West Clare: Eamonn Tubridy; John Kelleher, Damian Honan, Daithí O’Brien, Hugh McNally, Gearóid Lynch, Matthew Moloney, Enda Doyle, Jamie Russell, Tony Doherty, Brian Harte.

KILKISHEN Celtic maintained their strong push for the Third Division title when they proved too strong for St Pat’s last weekend.
The winners took control early in the game and led 2-0 at half-time. They added three more before St Pat’s pulled a goal back shortly before the end.
The scorers for the winners were Paul Murphy and Fergus Donovan with two each and Eoin Pewter.

Lifford B          1

HERMITAGE C won the Ennis derby when they overcame Lifford B on Sunday.
Lifford took the lead through Nani Da Silva but the winners equalised when Mick Culligan found the net. Culligan also scored the winners’ second with a  strong header.
After the game, Hermitage C team manager Andy Moloney stepped down due to work commitments and players and officials paid tribute to him for his work with this squad over recent years.

GOALS from Ryan Kamper (two) and Greg Keane helped Shannon Olympic B to a narrow win over Treaty Celtic in the Third Division league on Sunday.
Treaty Celtic’s replies came from Shane Hayes and Alan Considine.
