West Clare Colleges out of Corn Uí Mhuirí

Intermediate School, Killorgin        1-9   West Clare Colleges    1-6
West Clare Colleges lost their second Corn Uí Mhuirí Munster senior colleges game in Croagh on Wednesday.

Their display was much improved upon their recent loss to De La Salle Macroom but the four-school amalgamation still exited the tournament.
The Kerry school led by a point at half time, 1-4 to 1-3. O’Curry’s Jack Scanlon scored 1-1 in the opening half, while Clondegad’s Eoghan Donnellan scored 0-2 from frees for the West Clare side.
Early in the game, West Clare Colleges dropped some scoring chances short, which proved costly. Eoghan Donnellan pointed a brace of second-half frees, while Joe Downes completed the Clare side’s scoring.
