Wake for The Wild Swans

The Ennis performance of A Wake in the West by Gort theatre company The Wild Swans has officially sold out, it was revealed this week.
The show takes place in Glór next Wednesday, the day before a three-night run by Druid’s The Silver Tassie.
The Ennis venue accommodates 485 but two extra rows of seats were organised when it became clear there was additional demand for tickets.
More than 500 tickets have now been sold for the performance of MJ Ginnelly’s hugely popular farce, set around the wake of Tom Daly and the consequences surrounding his decision to be cremated and should he be entitled to take it all with him.
The Wild Swan’s production sold out eight nights in Gort Town Hall earlier this year. The group then took the show to Belfast last month, where it was well received.
The cast comprises Donal Connolly, Jimmy Hannigan, Helen Leech, Kate Sherry, Rose Finnegan, Jim Earley, Max Lee, Marion Cahill Collins and Kevin Glynn. The play is directed by Imelda Counihan.
At the time of going to print, there were some additional restricted view tickets on sale from Glór on 065 68 43 103.
