Valuable win for Lifford

Lifford recorded a much needed win when  they proved too strong for Burren United at Cassidy Park on Sunday.

A Roberto Pinto goal gave the winners a 1-0 lead at half time. Early in the second half, Ryan Boyle’s cross was deflected by a visiting defender into his own net. They sealed victory when Pat Darcy struck for their third shortly after.

Elsewhere Tulla United scored a 2-0 win away over Rhine Rovers, while Corofin Harps continued at the top of the First Division with a very good home 2-1 win over Newmarket Celtic B.

 

Bridge United A defeated Bridge Celtic 5-1 and Turnpike Rovers won the bragging rights in the all Ennis derby when they were 2-0 winners over Avenue B. Coole FC continue to lead the Second Division following their 4-1 home win over Bridge United B.

There were wins also for Hermitage B and Sporting Ennistymon, while Ruan Utd and Kilkishen Celtic played out a scoreless draw.

Treaty Celtic lead the way in the Third Division following their 4-1 defeat of Shannon Olympic B and Rineanna Rovers, Sporting Ennistymon B, Tulla United B and West Clare collected the points on offer in their games in this division.
