A spirited Feakle side won the U-12A shield final in Newmarket on Saturday afternoon. Feakle started the stronger and led at the break 1-5 to no score. Three more Feakle goals by the mid-point of the second half left the St Joseph’s girls with a huge task and though they tried hard, luck wasn’t on their side, as Feakle ran out winners.

Clooney-Quin won the U-12B cup final in Kilkishen on Saturday morning against a plucky Newmarket side. Clooney-Quin’s ability to pick off scores in the first half saw them go in at the break well in front. Newmarket continued to battle hard in the second half but couldn’t find the target and Clooney-Quin ran out easy winners.
