Lions Club of Ennis, together with Ennis Rotary Club, have chosen to partner with Cahercalla Hospice, Ennis to create a remembrance Christmas tree.

People may wish to remember a loved one who has passed away or indeed a loved one who is overseas or away from home this Christmas time.

The name of each loved one remembered will be written on a yellow ribbon and placed on the tree in The Market Square at the roundabout. This is a fundraising initiative. Ribbons (€5 each) are available from the fundraising department at Cahercalla and Remembrance Tree Office at The Market Square.

An ecumenical service to remember every name on the Remembrance Tree will be held in St Columba’s Church, Bindon Street on January 4, at 6pm. All the ribbons from the tree will be brought in procession at the service.

The project will be formally launched on December 8 in The Market at 1pm.  All are welcome.
