Teams deliver in style in Tralee

CLARE Community Games were well represented by 17 teams in Munster finals on Saturday last in Tralee. All teams performed very well and some were unlucky not to be among the winners. Derg won gold in both the hurling and camogie competitions. It was their first time representing Clare in the Munster finals in these categories. The following teams won gold and will represent Clare in the national finals at the national festival of sport in Athlone from August 16 to 18.

The members of the Derg camogie U-14 team are Carmel O’Brien, Ciara Doyle, Kelli McInerney, Ava Quigley, Sara Minogue, Molly Kilkenny, Róisín Minogue, Suzanne Costello, Katie O’Brien, Nicole Flower, Holly McGee, Megan Coleman, Aoife Maloney, Amy Barrett, Deirdre Corry and Alexandria McGrath.

The Derg U-11 hurling team members are Tom Minogue, Tiernan Slattery, Sean Wiley, Seanie Doyle, Jamie O’Donnell, Eoghan Devanney, Jake Butler, Cathal McKenna, Shane and Tadhg Kavanagh, Patrick Crotty, Keelan Harrington, Sean Collins, Eoin O’Grady, Cian Myles, Sean Treacy, Pearce Mooney, Adam Cunnane, Eoghan Heffernan and Gearóid Sheedy.

Ennistymon/Lahinch/Liscannor won the girls’ U-13 futsal title and the members of their team are Meg Brennan, Chria Guerin, Niamh O’Dwyer, Orlaith Considine, Daniella Svensson, Karen Hillary, Ciara Malone (Liscannor) and Ciara Malone (Rineen),

In hard court tennis, Ennis St John’s were the winners of the mixed U-13 title and their team members are Eunan Gavin, Scott O’Grady, Cillian O’Riordan, Ronan Foley, Darren O’Brien, Edith, Shauna and Rhona  Kearney and Caitriona Ní Riordain.

In the boys’ U-12 soccer, Ennis St John’s won silver medals and their team members are Jack Joyce, Stephen Talty, Mark Cleary, Dan Connolly, Eoghan Hahessy, Joshua Williams, David O’Sullivan, Ben Geraghty, Eoghan Horgan, Albert Obadeyi, Lase Ifebajo, Kevin Moloney, Dylan White, Daniel Geraghty, Chibkem Okoye and Brian Crowley-Hayes.

In throwball rounders, Cooraclare-Cree were runners-up and their team members are Brian McNamara, Pádraig Browne, Michael O’Connell, Gary Donnellan, Sean Browne, Sinéad Lillis, Niamh Conlon, Saskia Morrissey, Shauna O’Gorman and Emily Culligan.
