New date for next year’s KPMG Women’s Irish Open in Dromoland

THE KPMG Women’s Irish Open, which is to be held in Dromoland Castle, will take place from August 31 until September 3 in 2023 three weeks earlier in the calendar than this year’s event. More than 24,000 people attended this year’s event at Dromoland Castle’s championship course in September, a record for a women’s golf event in Ireland. Located on the shores of Lough Dromoland, Dromoland Castle’s 18-hole 6,824 yards par 72 championship course, designed by Ron Kirby and JB Carr, was a brilliant setting for the return of the Women’s Irish Open following a ten-year absence. The world class course, undertook a €2 million upgrade in advance of the 2022 tournament, proved to be a demanding and exhilarating test for some of the game’s top golfers in September 2022.
