Kilmurry, who were minus some frontline players including Peter O’Dwyer, who was in the US, kicked 16 wides in total.
Newly re-appointed manager Micheál McDermott will at least reflect on the fact that Kilmurry are creating, if not taking, all of their chances.
Both sides have two games left and while Doonbeg are definitely through to the semi-final, Kilmurry are almost certain to join them if they defeat Cooraclare in their next league outing.

Liscannor 0-10

Knowing that only a win would keep them in with a chance of securing Cusack Cup status for 2011, Liscannor did what was needed in Cooraclare last Saturday evening.
Displaying the grit and desire that Liscannor are capable of producing on their day, the winners led 0-9 to 0-2 at halftime. Having played with the breeze in the opening half, the power-packed display laid the foundations for a crucial win.
Alan Clohessy and Kieran Considine knocked over nine of the winners’ 10 points over the hour, with Declan Fawl kicking the remaining score.
Cooraclare introduced Fergal Lillis and David Hedigan and the holders did make more of a fight of it in the second period. However, full-back Mark Tubridy kicked four of their six points from dead balls.
Liscannor have two games remaining to secure their status, while Cooraclare play Kilmurry-Ibrickane in their last fixture. They may need to win to clinch Division 1 safety, while if they do win they could end up in the semi-final if other results fall in their favour.

While Gordon and Graham Kelly were absent for Miltown, Clondegad lined out without Paddy O’Connell and Eoin Griffin.
Michael Barry, Seán Meade, Eoin Curtin, Gary Egan and Kevin Keavey scored Miltown’s first-half points, while Ken Kelly, Gary Brennan and Paudge McMahon pointed for Clondegad.
Curtin and McMahon traded early second-half points, while the introduction of Dessie Molohan, who scored two points, proved crucial in helping Miltown to both points.

The Gaels missed a couple of goal chances then John Paul O’Neill turned over the ball before placing Barry Toner for the Gaels’ goal.
Toner added five points to his total throughout the hour, while Eoin Glynn kicked four points from play for Éire Óg at the other end of the field.
Brian Cunningham kicked some nice points for the winners, while David Russell raised two impressive white flags for the Ennis team.
The Gaels led 1-6 to 1-3 at halftime and every time Éire Óg closed the deficit to three points, the Gaels were able to venture upfield and extend their advantage. John Neylon kicked two valuable scores from centre-back for the winners.
