Róisín retains Irish title

Róisín Harrison retained her national age group (U-17) 100m title at the Woodies DIY National Championships in Tullamore. She won her heat very convincingly, in a time of 12.39, but had a really bad start in the final and had to chase everyone home, only catching Kelly McGrory in the last 10m. Her time of 12.42 was still fast enough to win and retain the title.
She competes in the Schools International in Ashford, Kent, UK, this weekend over the 200m and also in the sprint relay and will be looking to retain the 200m title at the second weekend of the national championships the following weekend in Tullamore.
