ANOTHER season is coming to an end for the Ennis Academy for the Performing Arts and, as usual, its participants will mark it with their annual presentation.
This year, they are performing Mamma Mia at Glór on Monday and Tuesday next at 7.30pm on both nights.
This is the once-a-year opportunity for young students of the academy to show off the new skills they have been taught in singing, drama and dance over the past few months.
They are the latest recruits of the Ennis Academy for the Performing Arts, which has been taking place after school hours at the Holy Family Hall for the past 17 years. Under the direction of well-known Limerick stage personalities, Tommie Drennan (recording star) and Pearl Kiely (actor-singer), the academy has gone from strength to strength promoting confidence and creativity in young people in a fun atmosphere. Classes are held each year from September onwards and culminate in May with a large scale stage production involving all the students from six to 18-years-old.
Next week’s Mamma Mia presentation will be an evening of music, fun and dance for all the family. The entertainment will commence with well-known Disney songs with nursery rhyme characters and a very colourful circus scene.
