Shannon and Inch share the spoils

Shannon Olympic A    3   Inch Crusaders        3
Inch Crusaders staged a great second half comeback, coming from three down to earn a deserved point against Shannon Olympic A in the First Division League at Shannon on Sunday.

Olympic took the lead after 10 minutes when a well delivered free kick was finished to the net by Steve Dolan. They increased their lead after 20 minutes with another good delivery and finish from Declan O’Meara.

The game looked over as a contest on 40 minutes when a well struck free kick was deflected into the Inch net by Eamonn O’Neill, to leave the visitors with a mountain to climb.

Inch pulled a goal back on 50 minutes when Padraig Talty headed home from close range after getting on the end of a Colin Burke flick on.

Inch kept pressing and were rewarded on 75 minutes when James Rynne got on the end of a well delivered corner from Conor Neylon to reduce the deficit to one goal.

Neylon completed the comeback for Inch on 84 minutes with a left foot strike from the edge of the box. Inch pressed for a winner in the closing stages but Olympic held on for the draw.
