Second-half dominance from Newmarket

Newmarket Celtic will play in the first division next season after finishing their league campaign on a winning note.
Despite playing against the wind, Ennistymon were 2-0 up with goals from Alan Sexton and Michael Leigh. Just before half-time Newmarket scored through Ciaran McCoy to trail by one at the break.
They were on top in the second half and added goals from Ciaran McCoy, Kevin Feehily and Martin O’Neill to seal victory.

Moher Celtic 1   Inch Crusaders 4

Inch Crusaders qualified for the promotion play-off from the second division with an impressive performance and victory over second division winners Moher Celtic at Lahinch on Sunday.
Moher played with the aid of a strong breeze in the first half and took the lead on 41 minutes with a good finish from inside the box by Paul Cagney.
Inch got a great start to the second half, with Pádraig Talty scoring after two minutes with a well-directed header from a James Rynne cross from the left wing. Inch took the lead on 55 minutes with a great strike from 20 yards from Dean Rickter after being put through on goal by Brian McDonnell. Inch were now playing very well and James Rynne put them 3-1 up on 65 minutes with a well-struck left-foot strike from the edge of the box after good work from Sean Talty and Rickter. John Clohessy wrapped up a very good victory for Inch on 75 minutes with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box into the bottom right corner of the net.
After the game, Clare league secretary Oliver Fitzpatrick presented the trophy to Willie Murphy, captain of Moher Celtic, who had secured the league title a week earlier.

Bridge United B 2   Coole FC 5

Coole FC finished their season on a winning note when they proved too strong for Bridge United B on Sunday.
The Gort side took the lead with a goal from Liam Petendors but the home side hit back for an equaliser from Noel Duggan. The sides went to the break at 1-1.
On the resumption, Coole piled on the pressure and scored three to take a commanding lead before Jay White pulled one back for the home side. Coole weren’t to be denied and they finished with a goal to seal a fine win. Dave Cahill (2), March Donovan and Petendors were the second half goalscorers for the winners.

Spoils shared
In the remaining games in this division at the weekend, Hermitage B and Kildysart Celtic drew at 1-1, as did Ruan United and Manus Celtic.
