Fears have been raised that Fanore may become isolated from the rest of Clare if its current bus service is altered as part of changes being examined by Transport for Ireland (TFI).
More than 100 people turned out to a public meeting in the village earlier this week, with newly elected TD Joe Cooney (FG) and Cllr Joe Garrihy (FG) both in attendance.
Up until recently, Fanore has been a stop on the main 350 route, which serves both Ennis and Galway 4 or 5 times a day.
