CHRISTY Moore will play The Royal Spa Hotel, Lisdoonvarna for two nights on October 19 and 20.
The internationally acclaimed folk-singer will perform solo but will be inviting some old friends, including Máirtín O’Connor, Cathal Hayden, Seamie O’Dowd and Jimmy Higgins on stage for songs, stories and tunes.
Returning to the town immortalised in his famous song about the Lisdoonvarna festival, the veteran of more than 20 solo albums promises two unmissable nights to remember.
In 2007, Moore was named Ireland’s greatest living musician at RTÉ’s People of the Year Awards and in 2011, at the invitation of Coldplay, he joined the band on stage at Oxegen.
The singer is looking forward to the two intimate shows in the ballroom of the hotel on the town’s main street and with a limited capacity, tickets for the gigs are expected to snapped up rapidly.
Doors for both concerts are at 7pm for an 8pm start. For more information, contact The Royal Spa Hotel on 065 7074288.
