Nenagh venue for Munster Senior Championships

The Munster Senior, Masters and Junior Indoor Championships will take place this Sunday at Nenagh Indoor Arena, starting at 10.30am with senior men’s long jump and walks for men and ladies.

Keith King (Kilmurrry Ibrickane/North Clare) is expected to compete in the long jump, high jump, 60m hurdles and triple jump. Jason Fahy (BMOH) is competing in the senior men’s 1,500m and 3,000m, along with Michael Maher and Brian McGinley, ((Ennis) Track).

Noreen Mackey and Dympna O’Dwyer (Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare) will contest the senior ladies’ 1,500m and 3,000m.

The junior ladies will be looking to Imogen Cotter and Laura Power (Ennis Track), Róisín Considine, Emer Hillery and Siobhán Nestor (Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare).

A big number of O-35s from Clare will be in action including Julio Cesear F Castro, Willie Devitt (both Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare); Frank Landy (Ennis) Track); James McIntyre (BMOH); Pat Hogan (Ennis) will contest the O-45 800m. Michael Quinlivan (Tulla), James Sexton (Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare) will contest the 1,500m and 3,000m titles O/55 along with Eugene Moynihan (Marian).

Richard McArthur (St Cronan’s) and Tommy Greene (St John’s) will contest the O-45 60m, 200m, long jump, high jump and 200m with Martin Fitzpatrick (St Mary’s) O-50 in the shot putt and 36lbs for distance and Mick Hayes (St Mary’s) competing in the masters’ O-75 shot putt and 35lbs for distance.
Ennis Track Club masters ladies well be represented by Ita Hanrahan, Aishling Power, Hilda O’Connor,  and Marian O’Loughlin. Also taking part will be Cushla Murphy Hehir (Marian) running in the masters ladies’ O-55 200m, 800m and 1,500m.
