Natasha becomes Munster champion

Tuamgraney was the venue last weekend for a number of Munster 60 x 30 handball finals.

 

In an all-Clare ladies’ minor final, Natasha Coughlan from the Clooney club defeated clubmate, Michelle Nihill, in an exciting game to win Clare’s first 60 x 30 title of the season at juvenile level.

Michelle won the first game on a 21-18 scoreline but Natasha hit back strongly and took the second on a convincing 21-5 scoreline.
She maintained that form in the third to claim the title.

Tuamgraney will be the venue this weekend for a number of first round games in the 60 x 30 championships with provincial semi-final places at stake.

The action on Sunday will begin at 4pm and the following is the order of play
1. B13S: Darragh Burke (Clare) V Jack O’Brien (Limerick); 2. G15S: Doireann Murphy (Clare) V Niamh Doyle (Limerick); 3. B15S: Jack Kennedy (Clare) V Eoin Hegarty (Limerick); 4. B16S: Luke Keane (Clare) V Gearóid Lehane (Limerick); 5. B16D: Fergal Coughlan/Jack Hayes (Clare) V Evan Murphy /Nigel O’Callaghan (Limerick).
