Ennistymon CBS bridged a 14-year gap when they won the Corn na Carraige, Munster Colleges U-16½C Football title at Rathkeale on Wednesday.
A three-point win over Kenmare Community school saw the Clare side lift the title for the fifth time in all and the first time since 1998.
They played with the aid of a strong breeze in the first half and led at half time on a score of 1-6 to 1-2, their goal coming from Micheál Duffy.
Facing into the gale for the second half the odds appeared to be with the Kerry side but Ennistymon produced a great battling performance, scoring three points while conceding just four.
Aaron  Murihy, Keelan Sexton, Barry Keating Kevin Hehir and Darren Nagle stood out for the winners.
