Memorial titles for Eade and Murphy

THERE was a fine turnout of juvenile athletes from Limerick AC, Roscommon AC, St Mary’s Rathkeale, Emerald AC Limerick, Craughwell and all Clare clubs when Ennis Track Club hosted the Barry Coughlan memorial open sports at the Lees Road Sports Complex.

 

In the Barry Coughlan Memorial ladies’ mile, Ennis Track’s Grace Eade had to produce a big finish on the home straight to take the title in 5.50 from Muireann O’Shea, Marian (5.41) and Siobhán Lennon, Ennis Track (6.02).

In the Barry Coughlan men’s mile there was a sprint finish on the home straight before Brian Murphy, Ennis Track captured the title in 4.44 from Julio Cesear F Castro, Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare (4.46) and Willie Devitt, Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare (4.54).
