McConigley and Brennan on target for Ennistymon

INCH took the lead after two minutes with a goal from Pádraig Talty but Sporting Ennistymon dominated the remainder of the half and scored four goals through Sean McConigley and Eoin Brennan, who accounted for two each. McConigley’s scores came from a free and a penalty.

Just before half-time, the winners were reduced to 10 men when Ciarán Monaghan was sent off. Ten minutes after the resumption of play, Rory O’Connor pulled a goal back for Inch but this was not enough as Ennistymon held out for a deserved victory.

MOHER Celtic maintained their strong challenge for the title with this win over Manus Celtic B but, in truth, the North Clare side were fortunate to come out on top as Manus dominated for long periods.
A Damian Finnucane goal gave the winners a 1-0 lead at half-time. Early in the second half, Michael Geraghty hit an equaliser for Manus but with 20 minutes to go, Moher’s experienced striker, Johnnie Daly, struck for the winner when he headed home following a Willie Murphy corner.
Manus piled on the pressure and looked set to level when they were awarded a penalty 10 minutes from time but Donogh Murphy’s effort hit the post.

NEWMARKET Celtic B held a one-goal lead at half-time thanks to a strike from David Barrett. In the second half, they were well on top and added further goals from Ciarán McCoy, Danny Conway and Barry O’Driscoll.

A GOAL in each half from Paul Dinan helped Ruan to this merited win over Hermitage B on Sunday. Dinan opened the scoring after 25 minutes and this goal separated the sides at the break. He was on target again 20 minutes from time.
Hermitage had a chance to equalise in the opening half when they were awarded a penalty but Gavin Dinan saved from Kenneth Kelly on a day when the winners finished with 10 men after Anthony White picked up a second yellow card 10 minutes from time.
