Man rescued from Kilkee reservoir

A MAN in his 50s was rescued from a reservoir in Kilkee on Monday after he fell in while fishing.

The local authority reservoir is located in Corbally, Kilkee. The fisherman was pulled from the water by Welsh man, Nigel Thomas, who had been fishing close by.
Members of Kilkee Marine Rescue Service attended the scene as did an ambulance from Kilrush and a rapid response advanced paramedic unit from Ennis, while the Shannon-based Irish Coast Guard helicopter also arrived on the scene.
The Marine Rescue Co-ordination Centre at Valentia in Kerry co-ordinated the rescue.
